Integrated and Quantum Optics | IQO
The research unit of Integrated and Quantum Optics (IQO) develops, fabricates and characterizes integrated optical circuits realized on different material platforms operating in the visible NIR spectral region. The principal application fields for the integrated optical circuits are biomedical sensing, miniaturization of spectrometers and interferometers, and devices for applications in telecommunications among others. In the context of quantum optics, we develop integrated optical circuits and devices for the generation, manipulation and detection of single and entangled photons on chips realized within the very same optical platform. The key interest in these technologies refers to the use in quantum optical simulators with compact modules.
