MTSD | Gas Sensors Lab

Our Gas Sensor Laboratory is a dedicated facility for the testing, characterization, and calibration of chemoresistive gas sensors for air quality monitoring applications. In this lab, we evaluate sensor performance under controlled environmental conditions, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and long-term stability.

The laboratory is equipped with advanced gas benches featuring precision mass flow controllers, certified gas cylinders, dynamic dilution systems, and automated mixing lines to generate accurate gas concentrations. We also operate ozone generators, humidity and temperature control units, and custom-designed exposure chambers to simulate real-world atmospheric conditions.

Data acquisition systems continuously monitor sensor responses, enabling detailed analysis of sensitivity, selectivity, response time, recovery behavior, and cross-sensitivity effects. The facility supports both research and pre-industrial validation activities, allowing us to fine-tune sensor materials, optimize operating parameters, and calibrate devices for reliable detection of target gases in ambient air.

This controlled and flexible environment allows us to replicate complex gas mixtures and environmental scenarios, ensuring that our sensors perform consistently and accurately in real-world applications.
