Biography
Viviana Mulloni received her Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry in 1997 from the University of Padova. In 1997, she was at Northwestern University (IL, USA) working on ultrafast measurements of materials for molecular electronics. She then joined the Physics Department of the University of Trento in 1998, working on porous silicon and nanocrystalline silicon devices. In 2003, she joined FBK (Trento, Italy) and started working on MEMS and RF-MEMS devices fabrication and characterisation, and development of several other types of micro-devices, such as flow sensors, silicon microphones, THz bolometers, thin film MEMS packaging and microfluidics. She was involved in several national, EU, ESA/ESTEC research projects and contracts funded by companies in the field of MEMS and RF devices. She is author and co-author of more than 100 papers in the field of microsystems devices and materials for radiofrequency and optical applications, and is also very active as an evaluator and reviewer of EU projects.
