Matteo Petruzzi
Biography
Matteo Petruzzi, born in Lecce, Italy, on November 7, 1999, is a Telecommunications and Electronic Technologies Engineer with expertise in electromagnetic design, advanced sensing systems, and analog design. He received his B.Sc. degree in Information Engineering and his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering and Electronic Technologies from University of Salento.
During his M.Sc. studies, he carried out a research internship at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Spain, where he worked on the design and analysis of metasurfaces for radar cross-section (RCS) reduction, developing skills in computational electromagnetics and microwave engineering.
His research also includes human–machine interaction and smart sensing technologies. He is a co-author of the peer-reviewed publication:
“Human–Machine Interaction through Advanced Haptic Sensors: A Piezoelectric Sensory Glove with Edge Machine Learning for Gesture and Object Recognition”, published in MDPI Future Internet.
His academic and research activities span advanced EM structures, metasurfaces, embedded sensing systems, and edge AI for real-time signal processing.
