Biography

Nicola Massari was born in Venice, Italy, in 1973, and received M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Padova in 1999. Since 2000 he has worked with FBK as a researcher in the IRIS group, developing smart image sensors and ASIC for sensor interfaces. He has been involved in many national and European projects as analog, mixed-signal designer mainly focused on the design of CMOS smart optical sensors and single photon detectors for different targets, ranging from industrial to medical applications. He is author and co-author of more than 100 publications and since 2020 has been elected to the grade of senior IEEE member. He has served different conferences in the review process (ISCAS, NEWCAS, ICECS, PRIME). His main interests are ultra-low power vision sensors with processing capability, and special sensor architecture based on single photon avalanche diode, quantum random number generator and sensors for particle detection.
