Biography
Mukesh Pokala earned his Bachelor of Technology in Aerospace Engineering in 2020 from Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, India, and has done Master of Engineering Science in Material Science at University College Dublin, Ireland. In 2025, he joined the Microsystems Technology (MST) Research Unit at FBK as a PhD candidate in the 40th cycle at the University of Trento. His research focuses on the development of MEMS-based microfluidic devices using Electrowetting on Dielectrics (EWOD) for miniaturized and integrated analytical systems. His background includes work on nanoparticle separation, 3D-printed dialysis devices, and cryogenic pipeline design. He has participated in international design competitions and collaborated on interdisciplinary research projects. His interests span microfabrication, fluid dynamics, and MEMS device integration for biomedical and industrial applications.
