Arslan Shahid
Biography
Arslan Shahid born in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1996, is currently a PhD student in the Integrated Readout ASICs & Image Sensors (IRIS) research unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento, in collaboration with the University of Trento and Sony Europe. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2019 from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, and his Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence for Smart Sensors and Actuators in 2024 from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, Germany.
During his master’s studies, he worked as a student research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), Erlangen, Germany, where he also conducted his master’s thesis entitled “Multi-reference-based Neural Face Video Compression.” His current PhD research focuses on the design of highly efficient sensor-embedded machine learning accelerators for imaging systems.
