Biography

Andrea Gaiardo earned his degree in Chemistry with honors from the University of Ferrara in 2013 and completed his PhD in Physics at the same university in 2018. He is currently a researcher in the MTSD unit at the Center for Sensors and Devices of Fondazione Bruno Kessler, where he leads the Gas Sensor Team. His research focuses on the development of advanced systems for detecting gaseous molecules, with applications in air quality monitoring, precision agriculture, and clinical disease screening. He is author/co-author of more than 75 scientific publications in this field and is actively involved in European, national, and industry-funded research projects. He has also served as guest editor for five special issues in leading journals in the field. He received the National (Italy) scientific habilitation for associate professor in 5 different scientific disciplinary fields (Settori Concorsuali/SC).
