Materials and Topologies for Sensors and Devices (MTSD) Capabilities<\/strong> are focused on supporting the strategic direction of the SD center. The unit is structured into 3 research groups:<\/p>\n

Spectroscopic solutions for quantum photonics Team<\/strong>
\nthe research area starts from the still-developing know-how of the team about using confocal
\nRaman and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy in materials science, providing information
\nabout composition, electronic properties, and mechanical defects.<\/p>\n

Gas Sensor Team<\/strong>
\nThe main 5-year goal of the team is to become, for the scientific community and companies, one
\nof the leading research groups for gas sensor R&D, through the development and testing of
\nmaterials, sensors and devices for the characterization of gaseous atmosphere parameters.<\/p>\n

Characterisation Team<\/strong>
\nSteady a research team able to Develop analytical methodology Research; Set up research on
\nnew semiconductor materials (SiC \u2013 Ge on Si ); Perform analytical support service (internal and
\nexternal).
\nThe main research line are: Analytical methodology development: SiC and Ge on Si;
